AND NOW, LET’S MOVE ON TO….LILA!

Lila Dubois normally lives in Hollywood, which provides an endless supply of exciting evenings and writing ideas, but is currently terrorizing a sleepy little town in Surrey, England. She’s moved in with her shiny new fiance.
Having spent extensive time in France, Egypt and Turkey, Lila speaks five languages, none of them (including English) fluently.
Lila has yet to look the correct way when crossing the street in England and family and friends are taking bets on when she will be hit by a car.

Lila’s latest book, Calling the Wild just released at Samhain this past week and is quickly climbing its way up the bestseller’s list.

“Calling the Wild” by Lila Dubois

Destiny is waiting…

Moira doesn’t know who’s hunting her, but she knows why. In her youth she unleashed a deadly force that killed everything within range—a strange power she has vowed never to use again.

Needing protection, she risks a bit of the old magic to call for backup. She gets more than she asks for. A lot more. A proud, sexually magnetic, enraged centaur who’s far from a quiet, obedient servant.

Kiron at first tries to intimidate the witch into freeing him, but she possesses more backbone than the average human. When she’s attacked again, he realizes she’s not a real witch. In fact, she’s not even human. And the sparks flying between them have nothing to do with the magical shackles that bind them together.

Curiosity grows to admiration, then to a love that in the end may not be enough to protect her. Moira’s enemies are closing in, intending to harness her power to restore a dark kingdom that has lain dormant for a thousand years.

There’s only one, heart-wrenching way out—give herself over to the full extent of her powers hoping that her true destiny lies with Kiron, and not in fulfilling a prophecy of death…

Warning: A super-hot centaur, kinky sex with vegetation and an extensive discussion of the ecological importance of primeval forests.

Finally, I get to hold Photo Opportunity

At long last I received a print copy of Photo Opportunity.
Nope, it didn’t come as part of my author copies. Those unfortunately were lost in the post somewhere. Those ones have disappeared to lands unknown,  never to be seen again

So I did what any good author what do. I ordered one for myself
:)
Okay, let’s be honest. It’s not really for me. This copy is for, *GASP*, my mother.

I have been a published author for three years now, and a print published author for one. Perhaps it is finally time to show my mum the proof. Yes, I’m absolutely terrified she might read the books – I’m giving her a print copy of Ask Adam as well. (If you have any suggestions as to how I can tactfully glue the pages together in a way she might not notice, I’d be happy to hear them.)

In the meantime feast your eyes on my first series in print:

The Tanner Siblings: Photo Opportunity and Ask Adam.

Yep, I am proud as punch. And I gotta say, I’m a better writer than photographer. These pics do not do the gorgeous covers justice. By now I’m used to the Ask Adam cover, but the one for Photo Op – well, it looks utterly gorgeous in print!

International Heat Spotlight on: Jayne Rylon

If you saw the preceding post, you’ll know that the members of International Heat are hosting a summer (or winter) long contest. One prize a week for ten weeks! All you have to do to enter is leave a comment on any of our blogs. (But heck, if you leave a comment on all of our blogs you have more chances of winning.) Each Sunday we are featuring one member of International Heat, and she will announce the winner of the weekly contests the following Saturday. Whatever the prize is, it’ll be from that member.

So today being Sunday, I welcome the first member to the Spotlight: Jayne Rylon.

Jayne is my antho sister and I adore her. I first met her when we joined forces with Lorelei James for the Menage and More Anthology. Jayne writes smoking hot contemporary romances, and her menages are enough to set fire to your computer screen/ebook readers. Honestly, if you read a Jayne Rylon book have a man or a toy handy. You’re gonna need him/it.

You can find out more about Jayne and her books on her website – www.jaynerylon.com or at the International Heat blog.

This is her official Bio -

Jayne Rylon’s stories usually begin as a daydream in an endless business meeting. Her writing acts as a creative counterpoint to her straightlaced corporate existence. She lives in Ohio with two cats and her husband who both inspires her fantasies and supports her careers. When she can escape her office, she loves to travel the world, avoid speeding tickets in her beloved Sky and, of course, read.

Her books -

Dream Machine

DreamMachine

The best dreams are made of naughty and spice.

Rebecca Williams is about to achieve her goal of graduating from a prestigious university and winning a coveted spot in her mentor’s cutting-edge psychology practice. She just needs one more qualification: sexual experience. She never dreamed it would come at the hands of the man she’s admired and wanted for six years. Dr. Kurt Foster.

Kurt, a brilliant psychologist in the field of sexual therapy, is a scientist to the core. Attraction and lust are nothing more than chemical reactions, in his clinical opinion. Love? It’s just a figment of the imagination born of nature’s directives. He’s on the brink of proving it with a new machine that uncovers latent desires.

In short order, Becca’s forbidden lust for her boss is exposed. As Kurt continues to enlighten her on the darker facets of her sexuality, the student unexpectedly becomes the teacher.

And suddenly Kurt is confronted with the irrefutable proof that love is so much more than a societal construction.

Warning: This book is only suitable for readers who are turned on by hot doctors engaging in sexual experiments, bondage, ménage a trois, exhibitionism, suspension, anal sex and other deviant behavior using mechanical stimulation devices they’ve invented to make your wildest dreams come true.

ONLY TYLER

Circle of Friends – Book 1

Love…or friendship? Does she really have to choose?

Katelyn Rosewood is facing a moral dilemma, one that’s six-foot-two, sexy as sin—and her fiancé’s best friend. Katie spent a lot of time getting over Tyler Bonnard, but now that he’s back in Sydney, he’s turning her carefully reconstructed world upside down.

Her relationship with Steve Sommers may be short on heat and desire, but after Tyler left her two years before, she’ll take security and solid friendship over wild passion any day. Except Tyler seems to have a good—if outrageous—explanation for why he’s returned.

After a tragic family secret tore him out of Katie’s life, Tyler is glad to be back with his two best friends. But one thing is out of place: Katie’s in the wrong man’s arms. And if her reaction to his return is any indication, she’s not quite over him. Which could mean hope for Tyler, heartbreak for Steve…

And another devastating loss for Katie, who must choose between the man to whom she’s committed her future, and the man who still holds her heart.

Warning: Keep a tissue or two handy while reading this book. While it does contain a few steamy love scenes, the rest of the story might just make you cry.

One scene left to write…

Just one scene. That’s it. And the novella I have been working on for over a year will be complete.
It’s not even a long scene. A couple pages tops.
Sounds easy, huh?
Well, it’s not!
It’s kicking my butt.

Seriously, I began this story on the 27th of May last year. Isn’t that ridiculous? I mean how long can it take to write a 30k novella?

ARGH.

Please excuse me, I’m going to tear my hair out now. If you need me, just follow the trail of brown locks and painful screams.

Five Hearts for Steve’s Story

5hearts

Brenda Talley has posted a rather extraordinary, five heart review for Steve’s Story over at The Romance Studio.

This is part of Brenda had to say about the book:

“Dee knows how to grip the readers’ imaginations. There was a myriad of emotional highs and lows in this book. I shed enough tears to be glad I was reading in private. I laughed. I read some incredible sexual activity…  I loved this book. It was definitely not for the faint of heart for its sexual content was explicit and frequent. The overall content of the story was breathtaking. I loved the story and I loved the outcome. I’ve found a new author to add to my automatic list.”

You can read the full review here.

Thank you Brenda and The Romance Studio for this wonderful review.

Joyfully Recommended – Steve’s Story

Looky what I just found!

My first review for Steve’s Story. And, compliments of Melissa at Joyfully Reviewed,  it is a wonderful one!

jr-rr-2

“I had originally read Tyler’s story and fell in love with Steve, wanting his story right then. After making me wait months, Jess Dee more than delivers with Steve’s Story… which simply must be read to appreciate. Heartbreaking while at the same time being heartwarming, Jess Dee shows that while not every happy ending is perfect, sometimes you take the hand life deals you and love with all your heart. I found myself in tears several times. Truly outstanding.” (Melissa, Joyfully Reviewed)

Okay, yep, so I bolded and italicized the “truly outstanding” bit. Forgive me, I couldn’t help myself.

Thank you, Melissa! I’ve been biting my nails waiting for reviews for this book, and I could not have asked for a better review. I am so happy you liked the book.

You can read Melissa’s full review at Joyfully Reviewed.
