This is a quick note to let you know I’m blogging over at Samhain. It’s a new year’s celebration blog, and is scheduled to go live at 9am, US EST. Drop in and say hi. Just click the Samhain link in the side bar, under Blogroll.
I’ve just heard that a motion has been filed to abandon all Triskelion contracts that were not sold in the auction!
OMG! There is an end in sight. Unless an objection is lodged within the next 15 days, VISITING PARADISE will be free.
Free, I tell you. FREE!
BOYS DOWN UNDER can live again.
Dang, what a fantastic way to bring in the new year.
I am happy dancing all the way into 2008. (With just a touch of trepidation in case someone objects…)
Woo hoo. I can finally speak about it! My editor has given me the okay.
Samhain has just accepted Circle of Three – Only Tyler .
See? I told you I had a good excuse for not being up to date with things. I’ve waited ages for this one to become official. Carrie (my first marvelous editor from Samhain,) wanted the book months ago. (But only after I’d rewritten it extensively.) For a few reasons, we waited on the contract. Then, in an unexpected, and very sad turn of events, Carrie had to leave Samhain. (Blowing her kisses and sending her cyber hugs).
Circle of Three was left in limbo.
Enter Jennifer (my second marvelous Samhain editor). Not only did she accept me into her group of writers, but she took time out of her ridiculously busy schedule to read the manuscript. (Yep, cyber thank you hugs for her.) Guess what? She liked it. She wants the book.
Circle of Three has a home. How happy am I?
Oh, um, did you ask about a release date? Well, oops. Not sure yet. I’ll keep you posted though.
So, what is the book all about? It’s the first in a two-part series about three close friends. (And no, contrary to the suggestive title, it is not a menage.)
Circle of Friends
The bonds of friendship are about to be stretched to the limit. Will love win out, or will the links that hold longtime friends Katelyn Rosewood, Tyler Bonnard and Steve Sommers together splinter under the pressure of an impossible situation?
Circle of Three — Only Tyler
Katelyn Rosewood is facing a moral dilemma. He’s six-foot-two, sexy as sin, and he’s her fiancé’s best friend. Tyler Bonnard is back in Sydney, and Katie’s carefully reconstructed world is about to turn upside down…
Two years before Steve Sommers proposed to Katie, she and Tyler were lovers. But Tyler left her, choosing London over their relationship. Now he’s back, with a devastating explanation for his departure, and an outrageous reason for his return.
Katie is torn between the man to whom she has committed her future, and the man who has her heart. How can she choose, without destroying the foundations of three friendships, or losing the two most important men in her life?
Thank you Samhain, for turning this dream into a reality.
Oops. Haven’t done this in a couple of weeks.
Right, school holidays begin for the summer here. So I’m gonna try think up Thirteen ways to entertain the kids during December/January:
The beach (That’s Bondi in the pic)
2) The pool
3) The zoo
4) The aquarium
5) Movies. Lots of them.
6) The wildlife park
7) Picnics in parks
8) Playdates. Lots of them
9) Bike rides
10)Holiday (only getting away for ten days in Jan tho. There’s a lot of entertaining to do before then.)
11) Going to see the Christmas lights/decorations.
12) Lots of walks and adventures in reserves.
13) Lazy mornings in bed reading and watching TV. (Okay, that one’s more for mum – but I’m on holiday too you know.)
I would be ever so grateful for more suggestions. Anyone have any???
Oops. Sorry. I have been remiss. I forgot to post the new releases. But I swear, I have a good excuse, and I’ll tell you about it soon – the second it becomes official.
So without further procrastination:
Secret Thoughts: Lustful by Beth Williamson, Laura Bacchi, Sasha
Tales from Lachmuirghan by M.A. duBarry, Pandora Grace, Isabo Ke
Winter’s Daughter by J. C. Wilder
Key West Magic by Ciar Cullen
Shadowed Knight by Jan Alyce Avery
Also wanted to report back that I read Jaci Burton’s Unwrapped, and Marie Harte’s Enjoying the Show, and I LOVED them ! If you’re looking for a hot way to warm up your holidays…I recommend both books.
I didn’t sleep on Tuesday night. Not a wink. Why? Because, finally, after months of waiting, the Triskelion court date (to decide what will happen with the Trisk contracts not sold in the auction) was upon us. Yep. 4th of Dec. The big day. Several postponements had ensured we wouldn’t find resolution earlier.
I went to bed on Tuesday night, suddenly nervous as anything. I had sworn to myself I would not get upset by the bankruptcy. Photo Opportunity was saved before Trisk closed it’s doors – and that was the big one. I decided it wasn’t too important if Visiting Paradise from Boys Down Under got lost in the black hole of the bankruptcy. Man, was I wrong. Visiting Paradise means more to me than I realised. It’s my contribution to the Australian Anthology.
Truth is, I am dying to see the book republished. I want it out there again. I want to promote with my co-authors. Can you understand my angst?
After hours of tossing and turning I get up to check my inbox. Could it be that VP is finally mine again? Could it? The answer in short:
NO! The judge postponed again.
URGH!!! VP remains lost in the void. I cannot access it, I cannot touch it. No resolution. Excuse me please if I go and shout at the wall. The wait continues…
On a more exciting note, the new releases are out at Samhain. Three guesses which one I am going for…
Shadowed Knight by Jan Alyce Avery
Enjoying the Show by Marie Harte
Marked by Joely Skye
Solarion Heat by Kathleen Scott
Unwrapped by Jaci Burton
Yep. I love Jaci Burton. Hot, emotional reads every time.
