Dee-liciously Sexy Romance

More Than One New Book

A few days ago I received a jolly exciting email in my inbox.

My editor had just accepted two more of my books for publication, turning the previous book I’d sent her into the start of an all new series called More Than.

You may have heard me talk about the first book. I wrote it in 8 days. Which is not only a record for me, it’s also completely insane. I just don’t write that fast. But after 3 months of writer’s block, of not being able to put a single sentence together, I guess those words were sitting there, just ready to escape. And escape they did. Into a whole new friends-to-lovers book which I tentatively titled Forever Friends.

Samhain tossed that title right into the garbage. Their reasoning? It sounded way to sweet for the book I’d written. And yeah, there may may be some sweet aspects to the story, but ‘sweet’ wouldn’t be my first choice to describe it.

Hot, erotic, sexy…yep, yep, yep. Sweet, nope.

And so the book was renamed More Than Friends.

But lets be honest. You can’t have a book name More Than…Something, and not have more than one of it. And so the series was born, with More Than Lovers becoming the second book, and More Than Words the third.

There’s a fourth book in the pipeline too, More Than Ever, but that’s just in a glimmer in my eye for now.

More Than Friends is in the final editing stages, and I’ve just received the blurb for it. Wanna know more?

MORE THAN FRIENDS: The Blurb

He was her best friend…until he became her fantasy.

A More Than story.

Lucy Lawson’s got it bad. Bad as in stunned speechless by the situation she’s in, by the feelings sitting on her chest, ready to explode. She’s in love…with her best friend.

Problem is, telling Sebastian Blackford could destroy the best thing in her life, but the longer she keeps her feelings under wraps, the stronger the need to spill her secret.

The last thing Seb suspects is that his best mate is madly, wildly in love with him, or that he’s the star of her seriously dirty fantasies. Worse, he’s just started seeing someone he’d like to see again—and Lucy knows it.

So why does her confession hit him like a runaway train? And why can’t he get her explicit description of her fantasies out of his mind? They’ve never been more than friends, but now that he knows how Lucy feels, everything is out of whack.

Seb figures it’s up to him to get their relationship back on track. He’ll do it too, just as soon as he establishes which track is the right one.

Warning:  After reading this, you may just be tempted to jump your best friend. It’s recommended you keep your partner on speed dial or a toy with fresh batteries on standby.

More Than Friends releases at Samhain on the 28th of May, and the next two books release towards the end of the year.

Winter’s Alchemy Has A New Name

(NOTE FROM JESS: A couple of days after I posted this blog, we discovered Mountain Heat has already been used by Samhain. We now have a third, and hopefully final title: WINTER FIRE! I like it. Do you?)

So I’ve been chatting a bit to Heidi Moore, the Samhain editor who is working on the Red Hot Winter Anthology.

It’s all getting very exciting now. Contracts are signed and cover art forms have been subbed.

Only one prob. Heidi wasn’t overly fond of the title of my novella.

*Sigh*

I am completely hopeless at titles. (Altho, I have to say, I quite liked Winter’s Alchemy. It fit the books pretty well.)

Thank God for Lexxie Couper. After spending the entire day thinking up new titles, and coming up with, ah, all of NO NEW IDEAS, Lex stepped up to the plate, and suggested five fab new names.

I am thus proud to announce that from here on, Winter’s Alchemy will be called…

Mountain Heat.

Have I posted the upofficial blurb yet for Mountain Heat?

I’m not sure. So I’m gonna slip it in here. (Just because I can.)

Mountain Heat: The Blurb

Surprises revealed in the dead of winter can heat up even the coldest night

There’s never been any question in Rachel Ashberg’s mind. Jackson Brooks is the one, and they both know it. The problem? Jackson is completely off limits. Much as they want to be together, they can’t.

It’s been over two years since Rachel last saw him. Now they’re about to meet again, at a gorgeous hotel, in the picturesque Blue Mountains near Sydney, in the middle of winter. And Jackson is still off-limits.

Rachel needs something to take the edge off before he arrives, and who better than the sexy stranger, Garreth Halt? He’s gorgeous, he’s keen and he’s going back to Canada in two weeks time. No long term ties there. Just a hot liaison on a cold night. Hot enough to make her forget Jackson for a while.

Or maybe not. When Rachel mentions Jackson’s name in passing, Garreth picks up on all the hidden undertones in her voice. He devises a plan: he’s going to bring Jackson into bed with them.

It may just be a fantasy Garreth and Rachel play out together, but Rachel soon learns that Garreth’s fantasies—even the most unattainable and improbable ones—have a surprising way of becoming reality.

Warning: There’s so much heat burning up the pages you won’t even notice the winter cold. You might fall in love with Jackson—the real-life hero,  determined to protect his sister from further pain—but it’s the handsome stranger, Garreth, who’ll take your breath away.

Mountain Heat releases on the 4th of January, along with Lexxie Couper’s Triple Dare and Delilah Devlin’s True Heart.

Sexiest cover ever created?

Not sure if I’ve told you this yet, but Samhain have contracted a new novella of mine, called Going All In. It releases on Dec the 29th, and is part of a special New Year’s Eve release theme day!!

So look what Scott Carpenter, cover artist genius created for me:

GoingAllIn300

Wanna know what the book’s about?

Okay, then. Here’s the blurb:

Going All In:

The higher the stakes, the harder they fall—in love.

Julia Savage’s weekly poker games are tearing her apart. She’s in love with two of her fellow card players, and much as she’d like to pick and confess her true feelings to one man, she won’t. Not if it means risking the love of the other.

Hunter Miles has wanted Julia for four months, and he’s about to deal a hand she couldn’t see coming. He’s determined to give her a New Year’s Eve celebration she never expected. He’s going to seduce her—in front of his friend and rival for her affections, Jay Baxter. But Jay’s not willing to lay down his cards. He’s going after Julia too, and he’s not above bluffing to get what he wants. Either way, one of them is going to win her over.

Unless they change the rules of the game. If they double up, there’s a chance they can split the pot…

Warning: This book is strictly for readers over the age of 18 — and still many of your parents will not approve. Beware of the scorching-hot m/f/m loving and m/m/f action that might set fire to your computer/reader.

Coming Soon: A Question of Love

My latest novella only took a year to write. (See, I  always said I was the slowest writer in the world.) But that is no longer important.

The good news is, the book has just been contracted by Samhain.

So, wanna know more about it? It’s quite exciting actually. It is the sequel to the Menage and More Anthology story, A Question of Trust.

A Question of Love is Gabe and Tina’s story and it will (hopefully) be available in November.

Coming Soon

A Question of Love: The unofficial blurb

A past with three, a future for two

Gabe Carter has loved Tina Jenkins for four years. He may have given her up as a matter of honor, but his feelings for her were never in question. Now times have changed and previously made promises have been discarded. Gabe is going after what he wants—and there is nothing he desires more than Tina.

When Gabe left Tina four years ago, he tore apart the most special of bonds, destroying not only their liaison, but her relationship with his best friend as well. Instead of two lovers, Tina was left with none. Putting the pieces of her broken heart and her shattered life back together was a struggle she never wishes to repeat.

But Gabe’s back and he’s determined to pick up where they left off—only this time without his best friend. He wants Tina all to himself, and she can’t help but respond to his seduction. The only problem is she wants the whole package deal. She wants Gabe—and his friend.

It’s up to Gabe to prove to Tina that he’s more than enough man for her.

Warning: If piping hot sex, ménage scenes, adult toys, anal play, short blonde heroines and stacked, muscular heroes are not your cup of tea, then don’t read this book. You won’t enjoy it.
