Dee-liciously Sexy Romance

A sweet treat in the mail (and a contest)

Don’t you love opening the door to that special delivery?

Seeing a big box with your name on it?

A slight thrill runs up your spine, because you have no idea what’s in the box or who sent it to you, so the possibilities are endless.

Now, I can’t lie and say that’s exactly what happened to me a couple of days ago. Firstly, I didn’t open the door, my hubby did. Secondly, I wasn’t even in when the delivery came. I arrived home to find a box waiting for me. And thirdly, I had an inkling what it was. Okay…so I’d been obsessively waiting for the delivery for weeks! But that didn’t stop the excitement. Believe me, I fairly ripped into the box.

Here it is. A photo sequence of my experience:

1) I open the box with shaky hands

2) I pull the flaps apart to reveal the hidden treasure within.

Yes, it’s my author copies of Three Of A Kind, the print anthology of Raising The Stakes and Full House.

3) I reverently remove one and hold it in my hand:

4) I insert it ever so tenderly into its designated spot on my bookshelf:

And baby makes 8.

:D

So, now I have 9 spare copies of Three Of A Kind sitting in my office. What to do…what to do…?

How about…I give one away?

Tell you what. Just let me know which your favorite novella from the Three Of A Kind trilogy was and why, and I’ll randomly pick a winner and send you a book.

No worries if you haven’t read the novellas yet. Just let me know which one you most want to read, and why.

Here are your choices:

Going All In, Raising The Stakes and Full House.

I’m gonna post this to Down Under Divas and to International Heat as well, and I’ll choose a winner on Sunday.

GOOD LUCK!

Three Of A Kind releases on the 5th of June, and is available now for pre-order at Samhain Publishing, Amazon and Barnes and Noble

Red Hot Winter is now available

Ooh, this release kind of crept up on me. :)

I can’t believe it’s already the 6th of Dec (well, the 7th actually) and the book is now available.
Red Hot Winter is the print anthology of Winter Fire (my novella), Triple Dare (written by Lexxie Couper) and True Heart (written by Delilah Devlin).

And you know what makes this release even more exciting?

Next month, the sequel to the Red Hot Winter antho is releasing. It’s called Red Hot Weekend, and I promise to fill you in on all those details closer to the time. (Wait til you see the covers. They are gorgeous!)

Red Hot Winter: The blurb

Two men, one woman and some red-hot loving. Winter has never been so hot.

True Heart by Delilah Devlin

True can’t believe his brother Lonny rented out their isolated hunting cabin to a city girl. With a herd to keep alive, who has time to baby-sit? Erotica writer Honey needs no distractions to finish her next book, but the Wyatt brothers set her imagination free. Then a fire forces her to seek shelter under their roof—and the temptation to do some “research” is overpowering.

Winter Fire by Jess Dee

Rachel and Jackson can’t imagine being with anyone else, but Jackson never dates his twin sister’s friends. At the twins’ birthday weekend at a mountain resort, Rachel tries to forget him by indulging in a fling. Garreth weaves a fantasy that brings Jackson to their bed. Funny thing about his fantasies…they have a way of coming true.

Triple Dare by Lexxie Couper

Anna can see trouble is written all over Joseph and Rob, two sexy Aussies on a snowboarding trip to the Rockies. Sure enough, they end up needing her survival skills. Stuck in a remote cabin, the temperatures rise until a double dare turns into a triple threat.

Product Warnings: These stories contain two men loving one woman in ways that break every fire code invented and are guaranteed to warm you on the coldest winter night.

Red Hot Winter is available now at your fave bookstore, or at Samhain Publishing.

Happy reading,

Jess

Coming Soon: Red Hot Winter (Print)

I’ve recently discovered the Red Hot Winter anthology, co-written with authors Lexxie Couper and Delilah Devlin, will be releasing in print in December 2011.

Not only that…we also have the cover art already.

What do you think?

And for curious minds, here’s the blurb:

Risking It All is now available

Just over a year ago, two of my novellas released in quick succession as e-books at Samhain:

A Question of Love and Going All In.

Now I am seriously delighted to tell you those same two novella are available in one tempting package, a print book called Risking It All.

RISKING IT ALL

When it comes to love, it’s a safe bet you’ll lose your heart.

A Question of Love:
Four years ago Gabe Carter left Tina Jenkins as a matter of honor, destroying the passionate threesome they’d both enjoyed with Gabe’s best friend, Connor. Now Gabe’s back, armed with promises of love and forever. Picking up where they left off is tempting, but Tina wants the whole package—which includes Connor—and Gabe wants her all to himself. It’s up to Gabe to prove that he is the only man Tina will ever need.

Going All In:
Julia Savage’s weekly poker games are not the only thing she’s betting on. She’s also gambling on the love of two men. Hunter Miles and Jay Baxter are happy to double up and share both Julia’s affection and her body, but their attraction to each other may threaten the budding relationship between all three of them. Now it’s decision time: all or nothing?

Are you ready for a combination game this hot? Double up for a taste of the edgy world of Jess Dee.

Warning: These novellas contain a whole lot of hunky heroes, heroines worth betting on, sizzling hot m/f love scenes, even hotter three-way action (m/f/m and m/m/f), adult toys, anal sex…and romance that will leave your heart pounding.

Quick Excerpts from the two novellas:

A Question of Love:

“Christ, T, I’ve dreamed of seeing you again.” His massive hand was on her cheek now, and he dragged his thumb over her lower lip. “Kissing you again.”

A wave of dizziness washed over her. Never mind the powers of speech, she couldn’t think straight.

“Dreamed of touching you.” His thumb traced the curve of her upper lip. “Tasting you.”

Her breath caught in her throat.

“I’ve dreamed of you. Every night for four years.” Even as he said it he bent forward. She watched, spellbound, as he closed the distance between them. With a soft groan, he pressed his mouth to hers.

She turned to mush. Standing on the footpath beside his car, with his lips on hers, she couldn’t breathe. She couldn’t think or talk. She could hardly hold herself upright. Her bones dissolved in her legs and her arms lost all structure. Gabe’s lips were on hers—warm, soft and seductive. Gabe. Oh, dear Lord, Gabe.

He drew back to stare into her eyes. “Christ…” he whispered. “I’ve wanted you for four years.” And then his mouth was on hers again, his tongue slipping between her lips, and she melted into him.

God help her, she hadn’t meant to respond, but how could she resist the temptation that was Gabe Carter?

Sensing her capitulation, his arms closed around her, pulling her in even closer, and she lost herself in his immense size, in his taste, in his familiar, spicy scent. Had anyone ever made her feel the way Gabe and Connor did?

All it had taken with them was one kiss, and she was reduced to a trembling wreck. Nothing had changed. Shivers raced through her as Gabe deepened the kiss, reminding her how each cell in her body had always responded to the two men, how every nerve fiber had stood to attention when they touched her.

He lifted her up, curving her body into his. His chest was a solid mass against her breasts, his legs thick and muscled against her thighs. In this position it was impossible to ignore the girth of his erection straining against her belly. Its very presence made her weak-kneed and lightheaded. It also made her horny. Very, very horny.

His tongue danced with hers. His taste filled her mouth. Sex and man.

No one had tasted quite so enticing as Gabe or Connor.

Going All In:

God help her, she needed to step away. Needed to extricate herself from the deluge of testosterone that muddled her thoughts and jammed her senses. Needed to look her parents in the eye tomorrow and the next day and the day after that. She put her hands against Jay’s chest to push him away but grabbed his shirt and clung for dear life instead.

Heat zinged between her legs, and she would have moaned out loud had her mouth not been taken by Jay’s in a heart-pounding kiss.

Hunter pressed his lips to her neck, covering it with sweet, sensual kisses.

How could she resist? How could she push either of them away? For four months she’d been unable to choose one over the other, and here they were taking the choice away from her. Here they were offering her another solution altogether.

She loved two men, and both seemed determined to be with her. How could she not accept them?

Then again, how could she? What would happen to the three of them if she slept with both men at the same time?

But why did kissing them both feel so incredible? So right? Perhaps this was what fate had had in store for her all along. Perhaps she’d never been able to choose one because they were both her destiny.

Bullshit. No woman was graced with two men as her destiny. Not in this day and age, in which she and almost every woman she knew, whether career-oriented or not, was raised to want marriage and the customary two-point-six children.

Jay ran his tongue over hers, nipped her lower lip and pulled away.

Aw, fuck. Who cared what every other woman she knew wanted? She yanked at his shirt, pulling him right back to her, and kissed him again.

Hunter growled in her ear. “It’s time to up the stakes.”

As Jay continued to bamboozle her with exquisite kisses, Hunter moved with a shuffle behind her. The next thing she knew something warm and moist touched the back of her thigh, just below the edge of her skirt.

Coming Soon: Risking It All

So, the good news is, I have a new release coming soon.

:D

My novellas, Going All In and A Question of Love, currently available as e-books, are going to be released together as a Print Anthology called Risking It All.

The book releases through Samhain on the 4th of Jan, 2011. (Okay, so it’s not coming too soon, but still, it’s coming.) And I am stoked. Can’t wait to see the cover.

An All New Print Release: Steve’s Story

Today Steve’s Story released in print. And to celebrate I took a couple of pics of my very own books.

:D

Wanna see them?

The first three are, of course, of Steve’s Story:

Then I thought, hmmm, well Steve’s Story is the second in the Circle of Friends series, so I took a couple of pics of Only Tyler too:

And, well, once I was snapping away anyway, I figured, ok, why not take photos of all my print books together… :D

And then I took more photos of Photo Op, Ask Adam and Three’s Company. Lots of them. But since this blog celebrates the release of Steve’s Story, I won’t post the rest here. (Although the temptation is killing me.)

Please – no nasty comments about the quality of the photos. I’m a writer, not a photographer. So I apologize for the shiny glints reflecting off the covers. While the books might look glorious and glossy in my hands, apparently they don’t translate so well into camera talk.

So, want a little reminder about Steve’s Story?

Sure. Here’s the blurb:

Steve’s Story

When love is threatened by truth, every moment counts…

Circle of Friends, Book 2

Steve Sommers is having a gut-wrenching week. His fiancée has left him, the woman who broke his heart is back in town—and they’re all gathered at the bedside of his best friend, who’s in a coma. The emotional ties between them are strained to the breaking point. Like it or not, it’s up to Steve to find the strength and compassion to support the four of them through the toughest ordeal of their lives.

In the midst of the turmoil and trauma, passion unexpectedly flares anew between Steve and the woman he loves. Suddenly the future he’d believed lost lies within his reach. But she still carries the secret that once tore them apart, and determined to protect Steve from the truth, she fights their rekindled relationship every step of the way.

Now the fragile bond they’ve developed hangs in the balance, threatened by a reality that love may not be strong enough to overcome…

Product Warnings: This book might just make you cry, but it’ll make you smile as well. The story will probably get you all hot and bothered too. It contains naughty activities in the car, sex on the kitchen counter (and up against the wall), a quickie in the garden, a little experimenting with scarves—oh, and some hot loving in the bedroom.

Did you notice I put the first sentence of the warning in a different color? Well, there’s a reason. The book is pretty sad. It’s also realistic and may not be everybody’s cup of tea. If you’re looking for a light-hearted, fun romance – this isn’t it. Yep, there’s a happy ending (helloooo? I write romance), but it’s certainly not your classic And they  lived happily ever after ending. If you’re looking for a hero who knows where is heart lies and refuses to give up on his heroine – no matter what obstacles they face, then this is the book for you!

If you’d like to read an excerpt of Steve’s Story, just click here.

To buy the print book, go to My Bookstore and More.

Or you can visit your favorite online bookstore, including Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

If you’d prefer the book in e-format. No prob. Click here.

And finally, if you’d like to hire me to take any photos for you, just head on over to :

Only Tyler releases in print

Today is the day Only Tyler releases in print.
You can’t see my face coz I’m about a million miles high, but I am beaming right now. I have a smile from ear to ear.

I received my author copies the other day, and got a huge lump in my throat. The book looks stunning. I swear, it blew me away. I’d always thought the cover was gorgeous, but holding it in my hands…Wow. Just wow!

OT - print 1

Yes, I know. I’m a terrible photographer. I couldn’t do the book justice. But I did want to show off the print version just a little.

So, for those of you who don’t know anything about Only Tyler, here is the blurb:

Circle of Friends – Book 1

Love…or friendship? Does she really have to choose?

Katelyn Rosewood is facing a moral dilemma, one that’s six-foot-two, sexy as sin—and her fiancé’s best friend. Katie spent a lot of time getting over Tyler Bonnard, but now that he’s back in Sydney, he’s turning her carefully reconstructed world upside down.

Her relationship with Steve Sommers may be short on heat and desire, but after Tyler left her two years before, she’ll take security and solid friendship over wild passion any day. Except Tyler seems to have a good—if outrageous—explanation for why he’s returned.

After a tragic family secret tore him out of Katie’s life, Tyler is glad to be back with his two best friends. But one thing is out of place: Katie’s in the wrong man’s arms. And if her reaction to his return is any indication, she’s not quite over him. Which could mean hope for Tyler, heartbreak for Steve…

And another devastating loss for Katie, who must choose between the man to whom she’s committed her future, and the man who still holds her heart.

Warning: Keep a tissue or two handy while reading this book. While it does contain a few steamy love scenes, the rest of the story might just make you cry.

If you’re curious to find out more about the book, but don’t want to buy a copy just yet, that’s not a problem. You can download the first half of Only Tyler for free. Just go to Samhain’s “Discover New Author’s Program” at:

http://www.thesamhellion.com/dna_redhot.htm

and follow the directions. It’s just a click away.

Or, you can buy your print copy of the book at MBaM, Amazon or your favorite online bookstore!

The e-copy is also available at MBAM or your favorite eBookstore.

Happy reading,

Jess

Three’s Company!

Yep, it sure is. Especially when it’s the print books keeping me company.

:D

Check it out:

Three's Company 1

They even keep the image on my computer company:

Three's Company 4

And… Photo Opportunity and Ask Adam are always happy to have more company:

Three's Company 3

Wahooo!

LOL, the UPS guy thought I was completely nuts. I was hollering and jumping all over the place, and all he needed was a simple signature. It took about five minutes for me to complete the task. Almost hugged and kissed the guy as well, but I thought perhaps that might have been overkill!

And – look at this:

Amazon.com Sales Rank: #4,893 in Books (See Bestsellers in Books)

Popular in this category: (What’s this?)

#11 in  Books > Romance > Anthologies

This is what the sales rank at Amazon looked like at 12.33pm on the 27th of July. Holy cow. The book is not even available until the 4th of August!!!

Yes, you bet I’m happy dancing. With a crazy grin on my face. (Just wish Jayne and Lorelei were here to dance with me.)

Finally, I get to hold Photo Opportunity

At long last I received a print copy of Photo Opportunity.
Nope, it didn’t come as part of my author copies. Those unfortunately were lost in the post somewhere. Those ones have disappeared to lands unknown,  never to be seen again

So I did what any good author what do. I ordered one for myself
:)
Okay, let’s be honest. It’s not really for me. This copy is for, *GASP*, my mother.

I have been a published author for three years now, and a print published author for one. Perhaps it is finally time to show my mum the proof. Yes, I’m absolutely terrified she might read the books – I’m giving her a print copy of Ask Adam as well. (If you have any suggestions as to how I can tactfully glue the pages together in a way she might not notice, I’d be happy to hear them.)

In the meantime feast your eyes on my first series in print:

The Tanner Siblings: Photo Opportunity and Ask Adam.

Yep, I am proud as punch. And I gotta say, I’m a better writer than photographer. These pics do not do the gorgeous covers justice. By now I’m used to the Ask Adam cover, but the one for Photo Op – well, it looks utterly gorgeous in print!
