Lexxie Couper’s Savage Transformation

I’m super excited to let you know Lexxie Couper’s Savage Transformation released at Samhain Publishing.

Its the sequel to Savage Retribution, and is as good, if not better than, the first book. Don’t miss out on it.

Go get it now from Samhain Publishing.

SAVAGE TRANSFORMATION:

She thought she had a life—until being hunted shows her she’s never really lived.

Savage Australia, Book 2

Jacqueline Huddart has spent her entire adult life on the run. Not from the law, or even a jealous lover. From herself—and what she is. That strategy works for her until a funeral demands she return to home ground, and her best friend disappears. Finding Delainie means Jackie must confront the truth…and accept the help of a mysterious, sexy-as-sin Texan.

Marshall Rourke isn’t the only one flying under the radar. He’s on an off-the-grid quest to track down a rogue ex-partner who hunts paranormal beings for the joy of the kill. Convincing the unexpectedly feisty Jackie to trust him isn’t easy, but there’s no better way to lure the hunter into the open than to dangle as unique a target as Jackie—the last Tasmanian Tiger shifter in existence.

Trouble is, Marshall hadn’t counted on Jackie’s brutal right cross. Or the fact that her simmering sexuality calls to his inner wolf on every imaginable level. And that the killer is about to use their desire to add them both to his trophy case…

Warning: This title contains the following: explicit sex out in the bush, wild shifter sex in an abandoned shack, passionate sex in a hotel shower. Plus a Texan hero with a very big secret, an Australian heroine with an even bigger one, a significant amount of violence and as always, Australian sarcasm.

Happy reading

Win a Kindle from International Heat

My good friend, T, the owner of Ebook Addicts, is hosting an anniversary scavenger hunt from now until October 3.

T has rounded up some amazing prizes, not the least of which is a brand-new Kindle, which has been donated by ladies of International Heat.

Details can be found by clicking on the banner above. I’m participating in the scavenger hunt, so while you’re here, why not peek around my website and see if you can find the tiny icon. It looks similar to the banner only it’s purple, and it’s tucked away somewhere very safe.

;)

GOOD LUCK!

Just For Fun

Someone emailed this to me, and I’ve been giggling the whole day.

Thought you might enjoy it too.

A koala was sitting in a gum tree smoking a joint…

…when a little lizard walked past, looked up and said, ‘hey Koala! What are you doing?’

The koala said, ‘smoking a joint, come  up and have some.’

So the little lizard climbed up and sat next to the koala where they enjoyed a few joints.

After a while the little lizard said that his mouth was ‘dry’ and that he  was going to get a drink from the river.

The little lizard was so stoned that he leaned over too far and fell into the river.

A crocodile saw this and swam over to the little lizard and helped him to the side.  Then he asked the little lizard, ‘What’s the matter with you?’

The  little lizard explained to the crocodile that he had been sitting with the koala in the tree, smoking a joint, but got too stoned and fell into the river while taking a drink.

The  crocodile said that he had to check this out and walked into the rain forest

He found the tree where the koala was sitting finishing a joint.

The crocodile looked up and said, “Hey you!’

So the koala looked down at him and said,

Faaaaaaaark dude…

How much water did you drink!?’

And now, for your reading pleasure, a teeny, tiny innocent little snippet from the book. Just to whet your appetite:

Visiting Paradise: An Excerpt

She laughed, flung her thongs off her feet, and spun a little faster.

“Watch out you don’t take off, Bethy.  The ceiling’s lower than it looks.”

Oh.  Dear.  God.

She came to a screeching halt even though the world continued to swirl around her. Only one person called her Bethy in that sultry tone.

“It’s the unexpected sense of freedom, isn’t it?  Makes you want to do crazy things.”

Suddenly, the prickly sensation in her back made sense.  That voice.  She’d heard it a million times in her fantasies, whispering erotic suggestions in her ear.  She grasped the edge of a nearby couch and turned around reluctantly.

His tall frame rested effortlessly against the wall, her bag sat at his feet.  In his eyes she saw the same lazy, seductive gaze he always regarded her with, the one that spoke of breathless moonlight sighs and indolent breakfasts in bed.  The one she suspected hid much more than it showed.

The air was whipped from her lungs, and her heart plummeted into her stomach.  He took her breath away.  In suits and ties, he set her pulse racing.  In nothing more than board shorts, he had her blood pressure rocketing into the danger zone.  If she continued ogling him she was going to have a stroke.

She could imagine the headlines: Woman found dead on luxury yacht.  Sexual frustration considered prime suspect.  Police too embarrassed by findings to conduct further investigation.

Winter’s Alchemy Has A New Name

(NOTE FROM JESS: A couple of days after I posted this blog, we discovered Mountain Heat has already been used by Samhain. We now have a third, and hopefully final title: WINTER FIRE! I like it. Do you?)

So I’ve been chatting a bit to Heidi Moore, the Samhain editor who is working on the Red Hot Winter Anthology.

It’s all getting very exciting now. Contracts are signed and cover art forms have been subbed.

Only one prob. Heidi wasn’t overly fond of the title of my novella.

*Sigh*

I am completely hopeless at titles. (Altho, I have to say, I quite liked Winter’s Alchemy. It fit the books pretty well.)

Thank God for Lexxie Couper. After spending the entire day thinking up new titles, and coming up with, ah, all of NO NEW IDEAS, Lex stepped up to the plate, and suggested five fab new names.

I am thus proud to announce that from here on, Winter’s Alchemy will be called…

Mountain Heat.

Have I posted the upofficial blurb yet for Mountain Heat?

I’m not sure. So I’m gonna slip it in here. (Just because I can.)

Mountain Heat: The Blurb

Surprises revealed in the dead of winter can heat up even the coldest night

There’s never been any question in Rachel Ashberg’s mind. Jackson Brooks is the one, and they both know it. The problem? Jackson is completely off limits. Much as they want to be together, they can’t.

It’s been over two years since Rachel last saw him. Now they’re about to meet again, at a gorgeous hotel, in the picturesque Blue Mountains near Sydney, in the middle of winter. And Jackson is still off-limits.

Rachel needs something to take the edge off before he arrives, and who better than the sexy stranger, Garreth Halt? He’s gorgeous, he’s keen and he’s going back to Canada in two weeks time. No long term ties there. Just a hot liaison on a cold night. Hot enough to make her forget Jackson for a while.

Or maybe not. When Rachel mentions Jackson’s name in passing, Garreth picks up on all the hidden undertones in her voice. He devises a plan: he’s going to bring Jackson into bed with them.

It may just be a fantasy Garreth and Rachel play out together, but Rachel soon learns that Garreth’s fantasies—even the most unattainable and improbable ones—have a surprising way of becoming reality.

Warning: There’s so much heat burning up the pages you won’t even notice the winter cold. You might fall in love with Jackson—the real-life hero,  determined to protect his sister from further pain—but it’s the handsome stranger, Garreth, who’ll take your breath away.

Mountain Heat releases on the 4th of January, along with Lexxie Couper’s Triple Dare and Delilah Devlin’s True Heart.

This Week’s 5 Heart Sweetheart at TRS

Yep. I’m beaming from ear to ear.

Just heard from the lovely Selena Illyria that Going All In is This week’s 5 Heart Sweetheart over at The Romance Studio.

:D

Thank you to all of you who voted, and thank you to Shalanda from the TRS for giving the book such a lovely review:

“Going All In was a quick and enjoyable story. I was cautious about the story as it was very short but I applaud Ms. Dee on an impressively well written and fully developed story despite the brevity. The characters were realistic, flawed and very inventive. The sex was intense and graphic. The reader should be aware that there are scenes of ménage in which the male characters do not interact sexually and others where they do. There are issues that the characters have to overcome which were very unique and interesting. I enjoyed that Ms. Dees included a plot twist which allowed the characters to change and adapt in that suppressed amount of time. Nonetheless, the story is quickly paced with an excellent story line and well developed characters. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story and will have to try out another of Ms. Dee’s novels.” – Shalanda

Delay in Visiting Paradise Release

I am really sad to say that there’s been a delay in the release of Visiting Paradise.

Unfortunately, Aspen Mountain Press has been having trouble with its web host, and so releases from last week still have not yet come out. That means this week’s releases are also postponed.

:(

So for now, I have no actual release date.

Soon as I know something, I’ll scream it to the world.
